Great news, I have been selected in the Hololens LA Hackathon organized by Microsoft, VRLA School and the Creative Technology Center:
Join Microsoft, Creative Technology Center, and VRLA School for a Holographic Hackathon on June 24-26. The Microsoft HoloLens is the world’s first untethered holographic computer, mixing holograms into your real world. Over the course of 48 hours, you’ll form teams with other developers, designers, and artists to collaboratively create a holographic app. Engineers from the HoloLens team will be on-site with HoloLens devices. Some sweet prizes will be awarded at the end of the event to the best projects made.
The event will take place on Friday, June 24 , and will run through Sunday, June 26th. It will be held at the Creative Technology Center at the Brewer Arts Complex in Los Angeles, California. 48H straight of brainstorming and development, I hope the coffee is good!
The premier device for Windows Holographic, Microsoft HoloLens is a smart-glasses headset that is a cordless, self-contained Windows 10 computer. It uses various sensors, a high-definition stereoscopic 3D optical head-mounted display, and spatial sound to allow for augmented reality applications, with a natural user interface that the user interacts with through gaze, voice, and hand gestures.
Microsoft has targeted HoloLens for release “in the Windows 10 timeframe,” with the Microsoft HoloLens Development Edition to begin shipping March 30, 2016, available by application to developers in the United States and Canada for a list price of US$3000.
