I will be speaking at numerous Virtual Reality events in the next few weeks where I’ll show some of my past and current VR projects and talk about Storytelling for this new medium. Don’t miss it!

3D and VR conference and masterclass by Celine Tricart and Francois Serre during the “French Innovation Week”

French Innovation Week is a celebration of French innovation and savoir-faire in Chicago. The 3rd Annual French Innovation Week will take place April 21st-29th, 2016 with a variety of events throughout the city that showcase the best of French science, technology, innovation and more. French leaders come together at Chicago tech hub 1871 to present their cutting-edge technological advances in the field of connected objects. Special screenings feature the best France has to offer in animation and 3D innovation.

VR from the trenches!
Four talented VR directors show excerpts of their latest work and explain their creative process. “VR Story Architects and Experience Designers” is a down-to-earth panel, with real insights and advice from the people who are inventing the new language of Virtual Reality. Amongst the subjects that will be discussed: The concepts of Presence, Empathy and Embodiment in Virtual Reality; Space & Time and the question of choreography; the position of the viewer in VR: spectator or participant; etc.

– 24th and 25th May – AbelCine, Los Angeles
10am – 5pm each day: VR Workshop “An Introduction to Virtual Reality”
Abel Cine, 801 S Main St, Burbank, CA 91506
This two-day, introductory workshop will cover the artistry and storytelling of VR. The workshop will start by covering the history of  VR and will take attendees through existing VR content. Different types of VR filmmaking and VR cameras will be discussed. The second day will allow attendees to get more hands-on with a VR shoot. At the end of the workshop, attendees will be able to view this VR footage in Samsung Gear VR headsets.



– 27th to 31st May – MUTEK festival, Montreal
Centre Phi, Montreal, Canada

MUTEK’s daytime program brings together workshops, showrooms, interviews and discussions, creating a space for exchange and education. Additionally this year, the festival welcomes the second edition of the VR Salon at the Phi Centre. Introduced as the centerpiece of last fall’s MUTEK_IMG event, it’s a forum in which to explore the myriad artistic, technological and industry issues driving the new medium of Virtual Reality, and will boast exhibitions and workshop activities as well as a full day conference on Tuesday May 31.
